The Branch Teachers

Miss. Keane
Miss Keane has experience of working in both mainstream primary, secondary and specialist education settings across West Yorkshire over the last 15 years.
Initially a mainstream primary class teacher, she quickly realised she had a passion for inclusive practice, in particular advocating for and working with children with SEND/ SEMH needs.
Wanting to drive the quality and accessibility of inclusive education in schools, and enjoying working with a child's wider family/support network, she went on to lead on Inclusion, Social Emotional and Mental Health, Attachment and Nurture specific roles.
With a determination for 'finding a way in', whatever the starting point and wherever a child is at in their learning journey, she weaves creative and often child-led learning experiences alongside key physical and emotion-based interventions that work together to meet the needs of everyone. A dedication to nurturing and developing the whole child is her biggest driver, as well as ensuring that individuality and difference is celebrated.
Miss Keane is excited to be working at The Branch, where she looks forward to 'growing together' alongside the Cross Lane community in this new and exciting role and environment. Her vision for The Branch is to offer a stimulating learning and play environment where relationships are at the heart of all that we do. The Branch will be a place where everybody feels safe, feels valued and feels a sense of belonging. (She also can ensure a bucket load of fun will be had!)
Miss Keane loves exploring the outdoors with her dog and especially loves going camping somewhere with a view! She loves animals and enjoys cooking (and eating!), reading and drawing.
Mr. White
Mr White has worked in educational settings for almost twenty years. He began his career teaching the PE curriculum and coordinating after-school clubs across several primary schools in areas of high social deprivation. After gaining Qualified Teacher Status, he worked in an EYFS setting and has since taught in KS1 and KS2 before moving into a Designated Resourced Provision for SEMH. This experience has provided him with a strong understanding of a child’s educational journey and how to support a diverse range of learners across different curricula.
Mr White previously worked as a Lead Teacher in a 16-place designated resource provision for children with SEMH needs stemming from attachment and trauma backgrounds. In this role, he supported a vertical intake of children from Early Years to Year 6, which strengthened his ability to create tailored learning plans that ensure every child receives the support they need to succeed academically and personally. This role deepened his understanding of the unique challenges faced by children with SEMH needs throughout their school lives.
Mr White is excited to be working at The Branch, where he looks forward to ‘growing together’ alongside the Cross Lane community in this new and exciting role and environment. His vision for The Branch is to offer an environment where children will be held in positive regard no matter what. The Branch will develop the children’s emotional intelligence and regulation; it will also provide the children with a wide range of life skills to use through their school and personal life.
Mr White loves taking his boys to watch Bradford City and especially loves spending evenings and weekends playing family games like Dobble and UNO. He has a passion for cooking and enjoys playing football, reading and watching films.
